Abbeville Christian Academy is accepting resumes and applications for the position of Head of School for the 2014-2015 school year. This position will be effective beginning June, 2014.
Abbeville Christian Academy is seeking a committed and experienced administrator who is equipped to lead our school (grades K4-12) with a humble heart, while continuing a pattern of innovation and excellence for our students. Candidates should have strong interpersonal, communication, and management skills. The Head of School is responsible to provide leadership for the instructional program through teacher supervision and evaluation, oversee the day to day operation of school activities and functions, establish and maintain rapport with parents, student, and faculty, while collaborating with members of the community to ensure excellence in all academic and non-academic programs.
In addition to promoting the mission and vision of the school, the effective Head of School will foster a Christ-honoring school culture that promotes community for students, faculty, staff, and parents. He or she should be articulate, approachable, kind, collaborative, and disciplined.

Abbeville Christian Academy (ACA) is a coeducational independent college preparatory school of 195 students in grades K4 – 12. It is governed by an elected Board of Directors of 12, whose members represent the various constituencies of the school as well as the community. ACA is an independent, non-profit, Christian based school that admits students of all races, nationalities, creeds and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Located in Abbeville, Alabama, the campus sits on 25 acres adjacent to Alabama highway 10 and is located 28 miles north of Dothan, 27 miles south of Eufaula, and 100 miles southeast of Montgomery.
